The Three Obstacles

Our mind so easily wants to take the path of least resistance. Even after we fortify and train for resiliency, if we slip up for even one day we succumb to it's weakness. Least resistance has other names: fear, lethargy, over confidence. There is always room to improve, remember that. We can always get better no matter what aspect of life. When fear creeps in, it is poison to the mind and soul. Overwhelmed and infatuated our every thought becomes. Unable to use sound logic to observe the world. There is only one objective for the mind, ever present danger. Lethargy hounds us everyday to conserve energy. It is our innate and ancestral voice that reminds us to prepare for scarce times ahead. But those days are long past, and we need to be ever vigilant for modern times. Resources are abundant now, and we so easily loose the drive to better our encampment and gather resources. Our human programming hasn't caught up just yet. Over confidence usually sneaks up on us when we least e...

Self Limiting Beliefs

We all put self limiting restrictions on ourselves throughout our lives. Most of the time we don't even realize we are doing it. We don't have enough time for this. We don't have enough money for that. Or, we can do that, it's impossible! Why? We must deeply ask, why!? Our minds create internal beliefs that act as a lens, or a framework through which we experience the world around us. We internalize it so deeply. But what if this internal programming was slightly off? What if it was wrong? Would we believe it? What if we started to question everything around us? What if we could look past our internal perspective and see things for what they truly are? What if we were slaves in our own lives without ever realizing it only because we put our own self limiting beliefs on ourselves that contain us. What if we were able to break free? We must choose to question our beliefs. Choose to be patient and seek the truth. Choose to get better everyday. Choose to never give up.

Relentless Improvement

Preparation is the key to all success. Relentless improvement. Constant testing and retesting. Persistent fortification. It is so easy when times are good to let up and relax. This is where battles are lost and armies are defeated. DO NOT LET UP! PUSH! Continue to make improvements in good times, so when bad times arise we are not caught off guard. We must constantly prepare and continue to carry the momentum. It is the true test of a person, who while they may be in good fortune, strives to live as if with no fortune. Imagine that even with good fortune, you subjected yourself to the most extreme environment possible. Imagine fighting to survive and willing yourself to thrive. Imagine you did that on your own free will. Constantly testing and pushing yourself to your limits. Imagine what your life would look like if you constantly endured unrelenting pressure? Choose to keep grinding. Choose to get better.

Friction

What if friction is the key to a happy life? What if doing the most grueling and difficult things possible brings us the most joy and satisfaction? Would you do it? Would you willing choose to put yourself through the pain and punishment to feel fulfillment? Maybe you could do it for 10 minutes, or 1 hour, or maybe 1 day. But, could you do it repeatedly day after day, after week, after year, for many years? Could you consistently push yourself to the limits of what you even thought possible? What if along the way you built up your soul to the strongest its ever been. Maybe this strong soul is what causes us to have a good life, and a weak soul a miserable life. Maybe having a strong soul is more valuable than any fortune can bring us? What if you were just crazy enough to explore this new mindset? What if you believed it? Who do you think you would become?
