What if you could have everything?

What if you could have everything you wanted in life? No challenges or obstacles. What if it was all given to you right now? What would you do? What if you won the lottery, and didn't earn a single cent but was given an extraordinary fortune? Would those things make you happy? Would money alone make you happy? NO! I want to earn what I have. I want to push myself to my limits having known that I tread my own path, the path less traveled. I want to live knowing I sacrificed and gained under my own power. I chose to not seek help, but to grind and create my own empire. When I look back on my life, I want to be able to say, " FUCK , that was fucking hard but I did it! Nobody helped me, nobody pushed me but myself. I explored not only my mind, my body, my soul, but my limits as a human being. And for that, no one can ever hold anything against me and say that I don't deserve everything I created." Happiness is not realized in the completion of the goal, but in the rele...

Today is a Present

We fight a constant battle everyday inside ourselves. Persistent turmoil for the desire of things in the future. Engulfed by these thoughts, these feelings, this longing, we lose sight. As Aristotle has said, "To perceive is to suffer." How much of our fear and stress in life is just a figment of our imagination? How we worry more about tomorrow than today? It's ironic how simple this fix is. To just be present in the moment. Worry about what needs to be done in the now, and not the morrow. Today's actions will build tomorrows steps which lead to greatness. Stay focused on what matters. Be grateful for everything around you. Take control of your mind. Don't take the path of least resistance, lean into the friction of doing difficult things." He who overcomes his fears will truly be free." - Aristotle.

Guiding Principle

Philosophy is like a guiding principle to live your life by. It is not a perfect answer to all things, but it is a good direction with which to head. There are so many complexities in life that make it difficult at times to tell right from wrong. But that is why philosophy is so compelling. When you sift through all of the nonsense around you, you find what you are truly looking for, facts. It teaches to not get caught up in the emotions and subjectivity of everyday life. It teaches you to think objectively about the facts. It teaches you to cut out the unnecessary things in life and focus on what truly matters, and that is being the best human you can be. Being kind, patient, and forgiving to everyone you come across. Having the ability to overcome any obstacle presented before you and using it to your advantage and development. That is the beauty of philosophy. Get stronger. Get better today and not tomorrow.
