Habit Long Continued

 Maybe character, good character, is when someone stops, looks at their life and asks themselves why. They begin to question everything they do. They search for the meaning of why they do things. They sort through their sub conscious for the answers. They find what's in their control and what is not. They choose to take responsibility for their own actions. They do this repeatedly. They do this consistently. Why do some people discover this, and some do not? Maybe some people are scared of discovering the truth? Maybe some people are scared of what they will find. Or, maybe scared at the challenge of facing their inner demons? Can you teach someone character? Can you show them the path? Guide them? Or, is it something each person must discover on their own? They must look within, and through trials, tribulations and self analysis start to question themselves. The Little Things Add Up

 It's so easy to get distracted from the things that really matter. Life has a tendency to swipe us off our feet without us even knowing it. Take a second, step back, and reflect. Ask yourself why? Why am I angry or upset? Why do I have no time? Why do I spend my time doing this or that which I don't enjoy doing. Why do I feel the way I do? Once you find your ground again, you can begin to build yourself up. We get so caught up in little things that don't matter. Take the time to be present in the moment and enjoy the day, for tomorrow is not guaranteed. So choose to think. Choose to not get distracted. Choose to be patient, kind and forgiving. Choose to be present, to be alive. Choose to be better.
